With Wisconsin’s Early Goose Season right around the corner, the past week the BMGOutdoors Team has been hitting the country roads searching hi and low for these crafty avian critters. Just when we thought we had them figured out they’d change fields and the process of gaining permission starts from scratch. Unlike deer and turkeys, geese aren’t going to be on the same property from day to day; it takes a lot of work to get on the field that these early season honkers find appealing. Follow along our journey of “Chasing Honkers” during this webisode. Be sure to like us on Facebook, follow us on twitter or check back often to keep up with our latest blogs, webisodes and adventures. Add Comment Most hunters spend the summer months preparing their food plots, improving their land and improving their marksmanship for the long grueling season. What about preparing your body? Hunting despite what some may think, is a grueling hobby. I’m willing to bet a lot of people can’t walk a mile through a mucky marsh in waders hulling two dozen duck decoys, shells, and a shotgun! My Team Members and I are fairly fit individuals, having run cross country and track at the collegiate level, and there are days in the field when we find ourselves hunched over, hands on our knees, with the old ticker pumping! Here are some exercises we do to make sure we are ready for the season. I’ll keep them simple; things you can do with little or no equipment. In this webisode BMGOutdoors Team Members Mark Mitchell and Jason Lisowe give you so tips on how you can prepare yourself when it's crunch time. Where we hunt we don't have Pope and Young deer behind every tree however we do have some nice deer on trail-camera this summer. When we get that one opportunity at that giant, we want to make it count. Follow us on our journey. With the summer months winding down and archery season right around the corner, the boys at BMGOutdoors have been working on their form doing some bow-fishing. This action packed webisode shows, Pat Raab and Greg Haak's, unique attempt at reducing the carp population in Wisconsin Waters, giving you insightful tips along with plenty of comical situations. We hope you enjoy. Be sure to check back every Wednesday for our new webisode! Like most hunters, we don't own thousands of acres, or have access to equipment. In this webisode we want to show you how everyday hard working hunters can plant a food-plot with basic tools available to most. For a more detailed description check out this Blog! This is the first of many webisodes to come from the BMGOutdoors Crew. In this webisode Greg Haak, Mark Mitchell, and Jason Lisowe show you how important it is to get out and get to know the bucks on your property. Like most hunters, we don't own thousands of acres, we are average hard working Midwestern people hunting one hundred percent fair chase game, except for this webisode which takes place in a park in Fond Du Lac, WI. Enjoy and be sure to check back for more from BMGOutdoors. |
